It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jill Anne Wilson, a long time resident of Nelson, BC. Jill passed December 27th, 2016 at the age of 64.
Jill was born in Urbana, Illinois in 1952 to Clyde and Juanita Welker. As a young adult Jill left the United States and moved to Canada, settling first in Prince George, BC. Jill later moved to Alberta where she met her husband Barry Wilson, later giving birth to her two daughters Kim and Teresa Wilson, all three of whom survive her.
There will be a celebration of life to take place in open house format Friday, January 6th, 2017 between the hours of 1:00 and 4:00pm. The celebration will take place at Thompsons Funeral Service Chapel. Her family would like to welcome attendance from anyone who would like to join them in celebrating the life of this beautiful soul. Jill’s wish was to be cremated, and the urn will be available for whoever would like to say their good-byes. The service will not be followed by a burial of the ashes as Jill wished them to be scattered.
She will be missed by many, but will always be watching over us and will live forever in our hearts.
