It is with sadness that we are announcing the sudden passing of John Armond Nelson on March 29, 2025. He passed away at his home in Wesleyville, Newfoundland.
He will be greatly missed by his sons Jan and Shawn (Leiloni) and granddaughters Brielle and Abbigail.
John was born on January 25,1955 in Port Arthur, Ontario to George and Gabrielle Nelson. He is also survived by his siblings Marsha, Sherry (Herman), George (Janice) and many nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his parents and brothers Wayne and Darcy.
John loved the "Kootenay" lifestyle, being raised in Nelson, however found his way to Newfoundland where we all believe he found privacy and peace in his life which we all know he craved. Just because he wasn't here didn't mean that he wasn't always thinking and caring about all of those that meant so much in his life.
During his life he worked as a Journeyman Glazer as well as the BC Ambulance Service. He will be remembered as a warm, caring and kind "Pawpy" and will be missed by all who knew him.
There is never enough time to say good-bye so let us all remember him whether catching or cracking a Kokanee!
