John J Relkow. In loving memory of John J Relkow who passed away peacefully on Sunday March 7 2010 at the age of 86. John was predeceased by his first wife Polly Relkow, his parents John J and Fanny Relkoff of Appledale BC and his older brother Pete J Relkoff also of Appledale. John is survived by his wife Tena, and her children Mike, Angela, (Cecil Jmio), Cecil (Ruby) Verigin and John's children Jack (Salma) Relkow, Pegie (Ron Scholz) and Dan (Charlene) Relkow, one niece Anne (Joe Perepolkin) and one nephew Peter (Shirley) Relkoff. John and Tena have twelve grandchildren, Melanie (Jason), Marla (Lyle), Michelle (Eric), Wanda (Phil), Chris (Janet), Derek, Cindy, Leena (Kevin) Shannon, Janine, Dan (Melenie) and Mike (Julie). They were also blessed with 14 great grandchildren; Michael, Cameron, Amber, Braeden, Danielle, Courtney, Allison, Tyler, Samantha, Dominic, Zander, Garrett, Breanna, and Kaylan. John worked as a construction carpenter and left his mark on many projects in British Columbia. He was very proud of his carpentry skills, and never passed up an opportunity to help someone do it better. He loved to sing Russian songs and hymns, and enjoyed his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Personal Alternative Funeral Services, on Friday March 12, at 10:00am at Crescent Valley Hall.
