September 21, 1935 - July 5, 2020
Jo White, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother of Calgary, AB, passed away on July 5, 2020 at the age of 84 years.
Jo was born in Nelson, BC, on Sept. 21, 1935. She lived in Nelson, BC until she moved to Grand Forks, BC, and more recently to Calgary, AB.
Jo was married to Kenneth White until his death in 1982. She spent the past 23 years with George "Pat" Fisher, until his death in May 2019.
Jo accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of her work for many years with the Ministries of Forests and Environment.
Jo enjoyed knitting, sewing, curling and spending many winters in Mexico with Pat. She will be most remembered for her beautiful blue eyes and smile.
Jo is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Wendy and Brent of Airdrie, AB ; Brooke and Jim of Airdrie, AB; and Karen and Joe of Kimberley, BC; her seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Jo is also survived by her brother George of Osoyoos, BC and sister Kay of Kimberley, BC.
Jo was predeceased by her husband Ken; partner Pat; brother Tom, and sister Anne.
