Jun 21, 1941 - Feb 4, 2018
Judith Louise Jensen (Judy) lost her battle with lung cancer February 4th, 2018 at Kootenay Lake District Hospital (KLDH). We express our heartfelt gratitude to our friends and family for their unwavering support, to all the medical staff in Nelson, Trail and Kelowna and the amazing 3rd floor at KLDH for their compassion, humor and extra special care.

Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba Judy grew into an amazing woman with an adventurous spirit highlighted by summers with family at Lake of the Woods and her many hours practicing ballet. Her adventures soon took her to New York, Anchorage, Alaska, Victoria, Vancouver, Kimberley and finally settling in the Kootenays where she met, and married her husband Leslie in 1970.

Judy graduated from the Selkirk College Registered Nursing Program in 1982 and worked at KLDH until her retirement.

Judy spent a lifetime of enjoying all that the Kootenays had to offer, skiing, camping, golfing, bridge, swimming, the Kaslo Jazz Festival and Tipi Camp. Recently winters in California were spent golfing, playing mahjong, painting and meeting new people.  Of all her passions in life the one she enjoyed the most was traveling the world with her husband Leslie.

Judy is survived by her husband Leslie and their dog Rusty, and children Scott (Sharon) and his son Leslie(Amanda), Betsy (Peter), Sister Janet (Ed) and her Daughter Sharon along with many, many wonderful friends across the world.

Judy's spirit and was a gift that allowed her to help others through challenging times and provide others the ability to see the positive and to move forward knowing each day a blessing.  She will forever remain with us in our hearts and souls.

Please join us on what would have been her 77th birthday to share your memories, laughs and goodbyes.
