Mae Elizabeth Millar (nee Worsley) passed away on Feb. 15, 2025, in Nelson, B.C., surrounded by her loving family.

Known as Betty by her friends and family, she was born in Vancouver, B.C., on April 14, 1943. Raised in Longview, Alberta, she resided in Calgary, Fort Macleod, and Grande Cache. She was a graduate of the Calgary General Hospital School of Nursing in 1965. She resided in Nelson since 1984 and worked as a registered nurse at Mount Saint Francis hospital until her retirement.

Betty was active and often walked to work. She enjoyed hiking and took up golf as an activity after she retired. Doll-making and quilting were also favourite activities.

She is survived by husband George (married in 1964) and children and grandchildren: David (Janeen) Millar and family: Andrew (Tyrena), Emma, Ian, and Jason; Colin Millar; and Nola (Kostas) Bakas and family: Theo and Anna. She is also survived by her brother Patrick (Ardyce) Worsley as well as eight nieces and nephews and numerous great-nephews and great-nieces. She was predeceased by her parents, Percy and Dorothy Worsley, and son Lance Millar.

A Funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th at the Bethel Pentecostal Church in Nelson. Donations to the Jubilee Manor Residents' Comfort Fund in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
