Margaret Alice Perks will be remembered and missed. Upon her passing on March 31st she left behind her husband Colin Perks, two sons Michael & James, daughter-in-laws Jody & Claire and 82-years of friendships. 50-years ago she was skiing at Lake Louise ski hill with Gwen Beebe and ended up on the Ptarmigan chairlift with Colin. It was a day that would set in motion a lifetime of laughter, activity and adventure.

For those who had the pleasure to know Margie would see a loving, smart and capable farm girl from Red Deer, Alberta. Margie could often be seen walking around the block in the town she loved so much, from the sight of snow on Elephant Mountain to admiring views of the lake and B.O.B. Nelson provided great friends and numerous outdoor activities. Whether on the snow, water or in the yard throughout the season Margie & Colin found the perfect place to call home. Margie kept herself busy with the Friends of The Library club and served as a past president. Her Lady Bugs club also provided lots of laughs and kindred spirits. Margie also was involved in the Bookies book club and enjoyed the lively discussions.

Margie was a special soul whom everyone that knew her loved her. She always took the time to listen and respond with kinds words. She was the most wonderful wife a husband would want as a partner and friend for life.

The Perks Family will be hosting a Celebration of Life on Friday, April 5th from 2 pm - 6 pm at their home on 173 Trevor St.
