October 14, 1938 - July 18, 2019
She is remembered by two sons: Darrell (and wife Glenda) of Surrey, BC and Todd (and wife Daphne) of Atlanta, GA, along with two grandsons: Courtland and Alexander of Atlanta, GA.
Margaret was born in Nelson and married her husband Morley in 1958. They lived in several different towns in the Kootenays including New Denver and Kaslo before finally settling back in Nelson, where they enjoyed a long, happy marriage of sixty years.
Margaret was an independent, caring, and strong-willed individual with a deep love for her family and friends. In addition to her career as the financial person at the Willowhaven care facility and her decade spent volunteering with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC, she was an avid seamstress, gardener, and chef, as well as a legend at her water aerobics and exercise classes.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Coeur d'Alene Kootenai Medical Center, Kelowna General Hospital, and the Kootenay Lake Hospital for the care and respect they offered.
Margaret will be laid to rest with Morley and their son Dwayne at the Nelson Cemetery.
Margaret (or Bama) - Thank you for everything. You were the best wife, mother, mother in-law, and grandmother ever.
