In Loving Memory ~
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Margaret Richichi.
Mom battled a lengthy illness, and it was just too much for her in the end. She died peacefully at home and can now join the love of her life, Aldo, and her two boys in the after life. Her broken heart can finally mend after so many years of pain.
Mom was born December 11, 1938, in Nelson, B.C. She was an only child to Art and Mary Ross (Aurelio). Mom married "Aldo" in 1957. They were married for 59 years until Aldo's passing in 2016. Mom worked extremely hard as a wife to Aldo, and mom to her children.
Mom loved watching her kids play sports and was an avid member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Mom was a self-proclaimed professional Bingo player, who still holds the record for continuous losing streaks at the Bingo Hall. Thank you to all who looked after mom during her Bingo years. Not an easy task...
Mom is survived by her children, daughter, Mary-Lou (Fred), and son Rob (Rebecca). Grandchildren, Patricia, Jason (Annemarie), Michele (Jordan), Ryan (Kas), and Jeremiah. Great-grandchildren; Dana, Lire, Isabella, Seneca, Gabe, and Archie.
Mom is also survived by her wonderful Aunt Rene, Cousin Carol (Heiko), brother in-law Carmen (Rita), sister-in-law Ida (Fernando), brother-in-law Tony (Maureen) and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Mom was predeceased by her parents, Art Ross, and Mary Kofmehl, Uncle John, her loving husband Aldo, and her sons Len and Mike.
There will be a celebration of life sometime in the spring.
Lou and Rob would like to thank all the people who cared for mom during the past few years especially Aunt Rita who never wavered in her love for our mom.
