Feb 7, 2018
Marion Elizabeth Starr passed peacefully and with grace on February 7, 2018 at the age of 66.

She was born and raised in the Okanagan's Naramata Bench where she spent memorable times with her grandparents. Marion met Jack Starr in Rossland and soon started a family. They built a home in Queens Bay where they started the Kootenay Apple Cider Company. Marion later became a TCM Doctor, graduating with top honours. These were a few of her many accomplishments.

Marion was cherished as a mother, Nana, friend, and healer. Her reverence for the beauty and magic of nature manifested in the way she parented, grand parented  and doctored. She was a nurturing pillar of strength for so many and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her partner Philip Stockwood, daughter Kendra and partner Mitchell, son Quinn and wife Elizabeth. She has five grandaughters, Ebba, Adelaide, Kaya, Flora and Josephine.

Marion is predeceased by her parents Ian and Blanche McKay, and survived by her brother Roy McKay and family.

There will be a Ceremony of Life on February 25th, 2018, at 2:00 pm, at Nelson United Church, followed by a reception at Taghum Hall.
