Mary Lorgere was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta on March 12, 1933. She passed away at Mountain Lakes Seniors Community on February 27, 2019.

She was the oldest daughter of Robert Louis (Bob) Stevenson and Myrle Stevenson. They moved to Procter in 1946. Mary was 13 years old and enjoyed the farm life and animals. She went to school in Procter to grade 10 then took grade 11 by correspondence and then joined the Air Force.

In 1953, Mary was a Flight Control Operator and a clerk typist. She was in the Air Force for over 20 years. Mary was released from the Air Force on October 31, 1974. She became interested in Jehovah's Witnesses after her mother's funeral in 1985. Mary was baptized Jehovah's Witness in 1989 and stayed strong in her faith, kept literature for whoever wished it.

She is survived by husband Jean Albert Lorgere, sister Barb Sikorski (Balfour), brother Robert Roy Stevenson (Grand Forks) and many nieces and nephews. There will be no service by Mary's request.
