Mary Hadikin passed away peacefully into God's Heavenly Kingdom, January 15th at Talarico Place, blessed with 90 years.
Mary was born October 5th, 1931 at Shoreacres, BC to parents William and Mary Kalmakoff (nee Holoboff). She was the oldest of 3 siblings, sister Vera and brother Jack. She grew up surrounded by close relatives, grandparents, uncles, aunties, and cousins.
Mary attended English school at Glade, BC, and Russian School at Shoreacres, BC. In her younger years she enjoyed working picking berries, working at a packing house in Creston, BC and a cannery in Summerland, BC.
Mary met the love of her life, Pete Hadikin of Taghum, BC. The marriage took place in 1959. They were married for 40 years.
Mary is survived by sister Vera and brother-in-law Andrew Evin. Four nephews, Lorne (Lillian) Evin & family, Andy (Nadine) Evin & family, Gord (Alisson) Evin and Garry Evin. As well as many cousins and friends.
Mary was predeceased by her parents, husband Pete (1999), brother Jack (2003) and sister-in-law, Anne (2007).
A prayer and funeral service was held on January 21st. Castlegar Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements. Interment was at Shoreacres Cemetery.

Dear sister Mary, we will always love you. We will miss you.
