Mary Patricia (Pat) Waters

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pat Waters. She died at Nelson Hospital with family members close by. Pat was born to Mary and Alfred Gillingham Watson in Appledale, BC. Pat enjoyed a good childhood with her siblings and family growing up on the farm. Lots of chores to do and times were sometimes hard. Pat was a strong, kind and good worker. Helping many people in need. Pat was all about family. Pat worked for Hoods Bakery in Nelson making lots of pies and doughnuts for the local cafes. At Waits News Stand on Baker Street you could have some of Pat’s pies and doughnuts as well. Pat was an excellent baker and cook; many home style big dinners were enjoyed by her family for many years. Pat moved on to Woolworths store and worked in retail. Later on she worked at Woolco and Walmart. Pat was a caregiver to her sister Amy, brother Bill and husband Tom. Pat will be remembered for her constant love and giving freely to her family. Pat’s great love for animals was amazing. She leaves behind her faithful little dog companion, Bailey. She taught Sunday school for many years and helped with many church duties. She had her spiritual beliefs and was a Christian. She had many talents, sewing, cake decorating, gardening, baking and puzzles. Pat was a wonderful, wife, sister and aunt. We are so lucky to have her in our lives. Pat’s husband Tom Waters passed in 2009. Pat is survived by sister, Faye (Wayne), brother Adrian from Kitchener, Ontario, niece Sheri (Warren), nephew Cole, nieces Amanda and Leah, great nephew Xander, great niece Amaraya, nice Lana (Jessy), Curtis and Haley, nieces Melissa and Angela, nephew Vinnie, niece Andrea, Zianna and Davlton, nephew Mark Watson (Penny), Allan Barbara and Conner, step daughter Narda (John) of Calgary. Pat was blessed with a long life which we always be grateful for. Pat was ready to be our special Angel in the sky. Pat will be missed so much. Pat’s family would like to thank Nelson Home Support everyone is awesome. Thanks to niece Sheri Scown for shower care and all the extra TLC. Thanks to Dr. Murray and a big thank you to Pastor John Thwaites. Peace be with you Pat (the Watson Family).
