It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of Michael - Although he would not want us to mourn his passing, but to celebrate his life.
Michael faced his challenges with lightheartedness and much laughter. He always referred to his MS as 'Mikes stuff' - nothing more. And the biggest challenge he experienced over the last few months of his life was no different - always had a smile and always found humour.
He was predeceased by his parents Vince and Kay Killeen and brother Paul Killeen. Survived by sisters Pat Trillich and Mary Kay Meeker.
And he is missed, and always will be, by his wife Lynn, sons Matthew(Cindy) and Chris(Krystal), granddaughters Myah and Teaghan, and grandson Gunnar.
A very special thank you to the 3rd floor staff at Kootenay Lake Hospital. Your caring support will be remembered always. And thank you to Dr. Lee Mackay for always being there.
And to those who were able to visit Michael in hospital - it truly touched his heart and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
A celebration of life for Michael will be held in the spring.
