Morley, 85, was born in Emo, Ontario and passed peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday March 8, 2017 in Nelson, BC.

He is remembered by his wife Margaret of 58 years and two sons: Darrell, his wife Glenda of Surrey, BC and Todd, his wife Daphne of Atlanta, GA, along with their two sons: Courtland and Alexander of Atlanta, GA.

Morley left Ontario to come out west when he was eighteen years old and has lived this side of the Great Divide ever since. He worked for the Ministry of Highways most of his career and was the Road Foreman in Nelson before it was privatized.

Morley enjoyed snowmobiling (he was an extreme snowmobiler) during the winters and quading/golfing in the summers. He was a member of the Kaslo Masonic Lodge No. 25 for over forty years and served as the District Deputy Grand Master District #6 in 2003-2004.

Morley was hard-working and always busy. He had a good sense of humor, a great heart, and was loved by all.

The family would like to thank the Home Health team and the staff at Kootenay Lake Hospital for the care and respect they offered.

A celebration of Morley’s life will be scheduled at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of Morley may be made directly to the Cerebral Palsy Association of BC (http://bccerebralpalsy.com/support-us/donate/tribute-giving/). Online condolences may be expressed at www.thompsonfs.ca.
