July 3, 2010

NORMAN GEORGE BRADLEY February 26, 1938 - July 3, 2010 It is with great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Norman George Bradley. George was born on February 26, 1938 to parents Norman and Ruth Bradley. George married Bobbie McMaster on November 7, 1959 and they had recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a Caribbean Cruise. George was born in Nelson and lived his life there working as an automotive mechanic. In 1974, he became the automotive mechanic instructor at Selkirk College. George's automotive experience always came in handy, especially when his three daughters started driving. There was always somebody phoning of knocking on the front door for free mechanical advice. This never changed, right up to his last day. George and Bobbie had a camper for many years and spent many summer days camping with their 6 beloved grandchildren. When they retired, they upgraded to travel by plane and cruise ship. In the last 6 years, George became a GREAT grandpa to 2 beautiful girls. They were the added love of his life and kept him young and full of laughter. George is survived by his loving wife Bobbie, his 3 daughters, Tracy (Mike), Jody (Pat), Carolin (Frank), 6 grandchildren, Lindsay, Mitchell, Kyle, Ryan, Jamie and Keely, 2 great granddaughters, Kadence and Jaydyn, 5 sisters, Shirley (Ivan), Bunty, Judy, Penny (Frank), Cheryl (Ken) and 1 brother Fred (Donna). WE MISS YOU SO MUCH. LOVE FROM YOUR FAMILY. A graveside service will be held at the Nelson Memorial Cemetery on Monday, July 12 at 11:00 AM , followed by a reception at the Royal Canadian Legion in Nelson at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in George's name may be made to a charity of your choice.
