Ove Pedersen died peacefully at Kootenay Lake Hospital holding the hand of his wife of 63 years, Alice Pedersen (nee Peet). Thanks to the nurses and doctors who cared for him, especially Bonnie, Lori, and Nicole, and Dr. MacKay. Thanks also for the excellent care Ove received in the Trail ICU.

Ove was born in Rossland, moved to Castlegar as a child and then made Nelson his home. He worked for the Department of Highways for 37 years. Ove loved the outdoors and hunting with his sons. He enjoyed skiing, golf, curling and playing cards with his friends.

Ove was a good man, a kind caring husband, a gentle father and a loving grandfather and great- grandfather. In addition to Alice, Ove is survived by his four children: Karen (Jack), Ken (Heather), Don (Debie), and Lori, his ten grandchildren: Kristin, Jake, Stuart, Breanne, Ashley, Kyle, Melinda, Nichole, Amanda and Melissa, and his beloved seven great-grandchildren.

A celebration of a life well lived will be held in the summer. Donations, if desired to the Kootenay Lake Hospital Foundation or to the Nature Conservancy of Canada.

We love you Dad. Thanks from all of us.
