In the quiet of the evening of April 12, 2019, our beautiful lady passed gracefully into her peace surrounded by the love of family at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital, Trail BC.

She was an amazing mother during an era of hard times. She taught us to share what little we may have with those who have less. She managed to instill in her children the gifts of anticipation, wonderment, and excitement, with very little means to work with. She taught us to be honest, generous, brave, ethical, compassionate, and that the very most important treasure in life is family. She loved her family passionately.
Our "Matriarch" leaves behind daughters, Trudy, Janet (Randy), sons Marc, Kelly (Helen), grandchildren Justin (Nicole), Braden (Cici), James, Courtney (Kalee), Clayton (Fallon), Jarrod (Agata), Brien, Amanda, Hayley (Sean), Kyle (Tash), and Emma (Shane), great grandchildren Justice, Nikaia, Brien, Nevaeh, Connor, Helaina, Colton, Bryce, Sharla, Boston, (the 1st) Theo, Boston, (the 2nd), sister Dorothy, brothers Clifford (Marg), and Ted (Amy), numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family, and special friends...
A gathering of family and friends will take place at the Matheson residence, 108 Hanson Avenue in Salmo on May 18th, in the garden, her favorite spot in recent years, at 3:00 pm, preceded by a private interment.
