Phillip Popoff passed away peacefully at the age of 75, with his family by his side after a lengthy battle with kidney disease on September 6, 2021.
Phil is survived by his beloved wife, Vera; his children, Lorrie Carlson (Popoff ) and Lenny Popoff; his grandsons, Josh Carlson, Jordan Carlson, Jake Popoff, and Jesse Popoff; and his great granddaughter, Aubrey Carlson.
Phil was well known to so many in the community for his outgoing personality and sense of humour. He spent his entire life as a heavy duty mechanic and retired from Slocan Forest Products in 2001.
Phil had a big heart and will be forever remembered for his unconditional love and kindness.
The family would like to thank the Renal Unit, the healthcare professionals at the Trail Hospital, especially those on the 3rd floor, Dr. Andre Kirsten and Carla at the Ancron Medical Centre, and Gwen from Alternative Funeral Services.
At Phil's request, there will be no service held. Memorial donations may be made in Phil's Memory to the Kidney Foundation of BC
