September 10, 1945 - July 16, 2019
Butch slipped away peacefully with his family by his side on July 16 at the Kootenay Lake Hospital in Nelson BC. Butch is survived by his loving wife Edith; his daughter Ellen (Ron) Hillier; his son David (Silke) Lane; his grandchildren Danielle, Colin and Justin; brother John (Barb) and sister Jean. Missed by his cat Ebony.
The family would like to especially thank Dr. Richard Milde, the third floor nursing team and the Infusion unit nurses for their excellent care and compassion. Also, our thanks to the Nelson paramedics and the Balfour Emergency Responders. A special thanks to friends and neighbours for their kindness and assistance.
