January 30, 1955 - June 30, 2021
Raymond Arthur McMillin was born Jan. 30th 1955, he passed away suddenly on June 30 2021 after a 6 month battle with the Grim Reaper, he was 66.
He left his mark as a Heavy Equipment Operator and Trucker, all over this beautiful country. From Hell's Gate, to GM Place, to Dawson City Yukon and the Helmut to the Kootenays, then on to Nova Scotia where he built overpasses and worked on the Rails to Trails.
He was liked and respected by everyone and every where he worked. He was often called upon for his unique craftsmanship as an Earth Shifter, and participated in many land mark projects. He rode Iron for over 40 years.
The ride he cherished the most though, were his motorcycles, and in the last 15 years of his life his dream came true and he owned two Harley Davidsons. A 2005 softail Custom 1340 Evvo. and a 1998 Electric Glide Classic, (he loved the old gals)
Ray and his buddy Pete put on thousands of miles over the years and enjoyed every mile and felt blessed.
His smile and good nature will be remembered by his biker buddies and his co workers alike.
He leaves behind, the love of his life Judi Bain, his wife and partner for nearly 30 years in great sadness.
He also leaves missing him, his two children Ryan McMillin and Tina McMillin; two sisters Karen Murray and Tracey McMillin; and his mother Wilma McMillin. As well as his nieces and nephews and a host of grandchildren and some great grandchildren.
He also leaves missing him two special step children, Lili Bain and Trevor Harder and last but not least his best buddy Pete Vidito (who bought his custom Harley, so they can continue to ride for many years to come).
Ray was patient and funny and kind and enjoyed life, always with a smile on his beautiful face.
He is still deeply missed. "I was always so proud of him, I loved and adored him" Judi xo
