In loving memory ~
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Bob had a brief hospitalization last week, where he quickly and quietly passed away on Saturday evening.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife Gail of 61 years, and his three children Rod (Debbie), Christine and Jodi (Dustin) all from the Nelson area. He is also remembered by his three granddaughters Brittany (Jeff) of Chicago, Taylor (Kurt) of Enderby and Jessica of Burnaby, along with two great-grandchildren Sawyer and Miller of Enderby. He is also survived by his brother Thomas (Shirley) Ratcliffe and his family.
Bob spent endless hours looking for the best places to go fishing or huckleberry picking and/or metal detecting. He would also be looking for ways to help out his children, whether it was home renovations or yard work, dump runs with his truck, or the countless times spent moving furniture from one house to our next home. He will always be remembered for his quiet demeanour, his annoyingly cautious driving skills, and most of all, his love for his family, friends, and neighbours.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Springtime once all our family can gather together and share their stories.
**Special Note: Pictured above with Dad is his ultimate lifetime catch on Kootenay Lake. He caught this whopper on his 61st birthday weighing in at 24.5 lbs.
Thank you to everyone for the flowers, cards of kind words and the thoughts and prayers sent to us over the past week.
