Rose was born in Slocan Park on November 10, 1932, the first of 3 daughters to William and Annie Osachoff. Sisters Helen and Anne were welcomed a bit later.
Rose married Alec Rilkoff of Shoreacres in 1953. Their daughter Marleen (Dean) Siminoff lives in South Slocan, and Lana Lepage (Tom Laycock) is in Penticton. Alec and Rose's grandchildren are Curtis (Christina, daughters Alexa & Emilia) & Ashlee Siminoff and Chelsey & Mark (Raquel, daughter Isabella) Lepage.
A traditional Doukhobor service was held at the Shoreacres Community Hall on Thursday, April 24th.
