Sandi's Story ~
Her journey began May 4, 1948. Born in Chilliwack, raised in Creston, and created a beautiful family life in Nelson, BC. She married her best friend Edward Barton on Sept. 4, 1971.
A loving wife, mother, "Grandi" to her grandkids, daughter, sister, aunty.... and a friend to many more.
She was that woman who decided to go for it. A fearless entrepreneur who worked with passion. Business owner of Pedora's Shoes then moving onto Jigsaw's Coffee Shop, Nelson's very first specialty coffee shop.
Sandi loved any family time, especially with her grandchildren. Beach time, sunny days, card nights, coffee dates, and ongoing Do-it-Yourself projects that not only kept her busy, but her husband as well (Sometimes to his surprise!).
Compassionate, funny, loving, determined, sarcastic, stylish, vibrant, energetic and so much more. Sandi wore here heart on her sleeve willing to lend an ear, a helping hand, or a witty comment to make you smile. She had a full life, and she will be dearly missed.
She lived every moment, laughed everyday, loved beyond words.
Sandra Diane May Barton slipped away Feb. 23, 2021 with her husband by her side.
