Scott slipped away peacefully on the night of July 12, 2019 in the Kootenay Lake Hospital after a lengthy illness. Many thanks to Dr. Tuvel and all the other doctors who worked tirelessly with Scott. Also, many thanks to the nurses, paramedics, and Balfour first responders who showed so much compassion and care with him.
Scott loved his old Harley and dreamt of being on it again with his friends. His big passion was forging Damascus steel and making knives.
He loved pounding steel. Scott was a welder by trade with the Plumbers and Pipefitters, Local 488 (Edmonton, AB). He worked many big jobs; Suncor, Syncrude, telling me on the job stories up to a month before his passing. Local 488 has been very good to us.
Scott is survived by his loving wife Patricia, his dogs Asia, Pooh Bear, Kobe and Molly, Siamese Willy Wong. Scott also leaves behind his dad Peter Brodie, and 4 sisters Robin, Jill, Dawn Brodie and Joanne Schick. You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence by visiting the family's online register at www.thompsonfs.ca.
Scott will be deeply missed. If Scott offended anyone at anytime please forgive him.
