It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sharon Farenholtz (nee Fisher).

She was born in Red Deer, Alberta on January 28, 1942 to Ida and George Fisher. Soon after, the family moved to Nelson, BC. It was in Nelson that Sharon met the love of her life, Wayne Farenholtz and they were married on June 17, 1961.

Sharon chose to work at home and was a devoted wife to me for 57 years, and she was a loving mother to our sons, Darren and Rob. She was also a devoted Grandmother to Sheldon and Justin and Great-Grandmother to Oakland.

Sharon enjoyed cooking, gardening, crossword puzzles, and watching the animals and birds in the backyard, often from her deck in the middle of the night. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Honouring Sharon's wishes there will be no service.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Kootenay Lake Hospital in Sharon's name.
