Born April 3, 1943, in Michel, B.C. Brother Gordon and sister Mary.
After graduation from the University of Victoria, Sharon spent many long happy years teaching in various BC schools, also taking much of 1967 to travel Europe with five teacher friends.
Sharon loved people, especially her young students. Always happy and smiling, she made the world a better place. After meeting Laurence Kubin in Nelson, they were married and settled down on Ridgewood Drive. Retirement allowed them to travel to the southern US, enjoying warm sunny days and many games of golf.
Sharon was predeceased by her husband Laurie in August of 2016 as well as by her sister Mary and brother Gordon.
Her funeral mass will be at the Cathedral of Mary Immaculate, 813 Ward Street in Nelson on October 30, at 11:30 a.m. No flowers by request. A donation to the charity of your choice would best honour her wishes. Online condolences may be expressed at www.thompsonfs.ca.
