In Loving Memory ~

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mom and Granny in Nelson, BC. Sylvia was born in Sirdar, BC and lived her whole life in the Kootenays.

Sylvia is survived by her Daughters, Irene (Gord) of Creston, BC and Donna (Dan) of Cranbrook, BC, her Sons Gary (Kim) of Kelowna, BC, Doug (Carol) of Nelson, BC and John of Golden, BC, Grandchildren, Troy (Helen), Burke, Jerry (Diana), Holly (Randy), Kristen, Matthieu, Christie (Jeff), Taylor, Dustin (Faith), Sarah (Simon), Toonie (Maddy), Karley and Ian (Jaedon), as well as her Great Grandchildren, Kaitlin (Paul), Kassidy (Sam), Skylar, Jessie (Kelci), Hunter, Reese, Madelyn, Tristan, Slade, Evelyn and Maya. Sylvia is also survived by her Sister Doris (Dale) her Nieces and Nephews Kim (Alden), Blaine (Toni), Robert (Irene), Jimmy (Janet) and Gwen, her cousin Betty, as well as her loving Husband Arthur and family.

We wish to acknowledge Mom's long-time best friends, Ila Maber and Trudy Hutley for always being such true and loving friends to our Mom.

Our wonderful Mother was predeceased by her first husband, Frank Desrosiers and her second husband, Joseph Irving, her sisters Rose and Frances and brother Johnny, parents Joseph and Vera Kollman, and Grand Son Ryan Desrosiers.

The family would like to convey a huge, heartfelt thank you to Doctor Kirsten and the Doctors, Nurses and other staff at the Kootenay Lake Hospital in Nelson who cared for our Mother with great compassion and kindness. In keeping with Mom's wishes, she will be cremated, and her urn laid to rest in the Creston Pioneer Cemetery with her twin sister Frances, who died at birth.

There will be a celebration of life at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 18th at Thompson Funeral Service, 613 Ward Street, Nelson, BC.

Sylvia was truly loved and will forever be missed by her family and friends.
