August 2, 1931 ~ December 5, 2014

On Friday, Dec 5 at 9:30 pm, Ted Cartlidge, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend, slipped peacefully away after a sudden accident. Left to grieve are his loving wife of 62 years, Evelyn, children Laura Michael, Debbie Gale, Charlene Len and Shawn Robin, Sister Betty Roy, 16 grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ted was pre-deceased by his parents Ted and Mae.

Born in 1931 in Regina SK, raised in Boharm SK, he moved to Moose Jaw SK where he met and married his wife Evelyn in 1952 at St. Andrew’s Church. He began his career with the CPR and moved west with his wife and three daughters to Nelson in 1958. His son was born in 1969.

His love of the arena and Hockey made his volunteer work a joy in his life. He loved Nelson, the mountains, the fishing and his motorcycle. He was loved for his constant whistling and he will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

Cremation was handled by Thompson Funeral Service Ltd. and a Celebration of Life was held at the Balfour Covenant Church, 7741 Upper Balfour Road, Balfour BC.
