With sadness we report Terence Charles "Terry" Halleran of Nelson, BC passed away December 17th, 2021, at the age of 79. Terry was born in Nelson, BC March 13th, 1942, to Noreen Mary Halleran and Cecil Calvin "Mickey" Halleran. He is preceded in death by his sister Patricia Noreen "Pat" O'Halloran and brother William Michael "Mike" Halleran as well as his adopted brother William "Bill" Stevenson. Terry continued his family's musical tradition by following in his fathers' footsteps to become a piano tuner, and his mothers by participating in numerous musical productions and choirs. He was very active in the Nelson and Kootenay area music and arts scenes for more than half a century.
He is survived by his wife Christine "Chris" Halleran of 54 years, and their daughters and families. Sarah Halleran and Niels Jacobsen (children Elliot and Emily) of Edmonton, Alberta. Katie and Brett Sullivan (children Duncan and Heath) of Spokane Washington. He leaves behind beloved nieces and nephews as well as many chosen family - the dancing girls and coffee boys.
The family wish to thank Amanda Ames Nurse Practitioner, Dr Lee MacKay, and the Palliative Care team in the community for helping Terry on his way to his final adventure. Thank you also to family and friends who made this journey with us.
Due to COVID we will delay a celebration of life until a gathering can be planned.
