Velma passed away peacefully on June 30th. Thank you to the staff of Castle View for the excellent care they gave Velma. As per Velma's wishes she was cremated and there will be no formal funeral service. Velma wished to share this poem with those who love her.
Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the safe star light of night.
