April 10, 1964 - July 14, 2018
To know him was to love him...

Wade was born on April 10,1964 in London, Ont. He graduated from Fanshawe College in broadcasting and later became a local radio show host. He was charismatic, fun loving, a great story teller, and generously shared his wealth of knowledge with everyone.

He moved to Nelson, BC in 1995 and worked at the Express, and later the Nelson Daily News. He was known in town as the "ad man". His radio experience helped start the Kootenay Co-op Radio. Wade's vivacious and entertaining personality shone on stage, playing his harmonicas actively in the local music scene. Wade escaped to the rugged BC wilderness, to camp and fish at every opportunity.

Career change to a sheet metal worker moved him to the Okanagan. He worked around the province, making friends everywhere.

Wade passed unexpectedly in his Enderby home on July 14, 2018. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends across Canada. He was one of a kind.

A celebration of life will take place July 31, at the Royal, in Nelson from 4 pm on.
