It is with immense sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Wayne Savard on April 25, 2018. Wayne was born in Chemainus, BC on May 10, 1947.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years Ingrid Savard, siblings Ron (Willow), Don, Anne (Keith), Paul and David, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Cremation has taken place. At Wayne's request there will be no formal funeral service. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to Our Daily Bread, 520 Falls St. Nelson, BC V1L6B5, or the Nelson Search and Rescue Society, 1300 Crease Ave Nelson, BC V1L1A1.
Wayne's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the civilian first responders on scene, emergency crews, and the community for their care and support during this difficult time.
