In Loving Memory ~

It is with great sadness we announce the loss of our beloved...William Harasemow.

He passed away peacefully at home, on Jan. 20, 2024, holding hands with his loving wife.

Willie battled dementia for years and was recently diagnosed with cancer, and left us with dignity.

He was well respected in Grand Forks where he donated his time to the Rotary Club and Minor Hockey and worked at the Boundary Hospital as a Business Manager.

Willie and Marion moved to Perry Siding, Willies' family homestead, where he continued accounting at Elephant Mountain, New Denver Hospital, Mt. St. Francis Hospital., and finally retiring from Kootenay Lake Hospital as Finance Director. He donated his time to the Passmore Lodge and 'chaired' the Appledale Hall.

Willie enjoyed his family and friends, listening to music, reading, carpentry, telling jokes, his love for animals and welcoming guests and sharing a beer.

An honorable man and a true gentleman.

He will be fondly remembered by his wife Marion (of 60 years), and children Darryll (Monique) and Angie. Grandchildren; Tyler, Nathan (Shay), Joshua (Rachael), Brittany (Eric), Desiree (Keith), Christopher, Adam (Harmony), Courtney (James) - along with 14 great grandchildren ... truly blessed.

Willie has joined his parents Pete and Lucy Harasemow, and siblings Pete, John and Mary - and leaves behind a brother Mike.

A 'Celebration of Life' will be held early spring or summer.

The Harasemow family would like to express sincere thanks to all of our family and friends, Winlaw paramedics, Castlegar Funeral Home, and Dr. Burkholder through this difficult time.

We are forever grateful...
