We are saddened to announce her passing peacefully away on January 8, 2018 surrounded by her children and husband at the age of 88.
She is survived by her husband Harry Jarvis of 44 years, 5 children and their families; Garey Valcourt (Maggie), Paul Valcourt (Dawn), Bernie Valcourt (Maureen), Lorraine Cade (Gordon) and Maurice Valcourt (Joanne) also 4 stepchildren; Susan Snow, Marg McQuaig, Hazel Ratz (Helmuth) and Allan Jarvis.
Winnie has a surviving Sister Marg Harasymchuk and a brother Wayne Allen (Gwen).
Not only her family will miss her but so many friends as well.
She is predeceased by her brother Irwin Allen, sisters Belva Connelly and Maxine Allen, and her Husband Rene with her 2 sons Ronnie and Denis Valcourt; survived by Roxanne and Nancy Valcourt.
Winnie lived life with a lot of love and laughter, always with a quick comeback. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends on camping trips and to family get togethers. Earlier in her life she enjoyed horse shows, highland games, ski competitions and square dancing. Later bowling, bridge and puzzles filled her time with happiness.
A memorial service will be held Saturday Feb 10, 2018 at 11 AM at Thompson Funeral Home, 613 Ward Street, Nelson, BC with a tea to follow.
