SLUGS: To the two young people who destroyed the woodworking project that was left behind at the Trafalgar school bus stop on the last day of classes. Why?
HUGS: A very big hug to Councillor Leslie Payne for speaking logic and truth about the market location. This was an operational decision made by a few that should have been brought to council and the public. Everyone wants the market downtown.
HUGS: Huge hugs and thanks to the man who paid for the 15 Crown Jewels Ladies' dinners at Amanda's on June 19! We are so thankful for your generosity.
HUGS: The young lady who was working all alone at the DQ Saturday night (June 21) did a wonderful job. She needs to know we appreciate her work.
SLUGS: Big slugs to the people who decided taking the street market off the street. Cottonwood Falls is beautiful, but it isn't the correct venue for the street market. Baker Street markets used to bring the community together and energize the downtown and bring feet by local shops as well as the market. The way it is set up now businesses are competing against each other when they could be working symbiotically.
HUGS: To the Lakeside Park grounds staff for the work they do to keep the park looking great. A showcase for locals and tourists alike. Thank you.
HUGS: To Ms. Proctor at Trafalgar. Thanks for being a great teacher, and for welcoming our child with great vibes. You are not forgotten and are so appreciated.
SLUGS: Once again, huge slug to City of Nelson for the ridiculous road signage at the construction site at Stanley and Victoria. No flag persons and totally ridiculous signage — left turn arrow to Victoria but road closed. Seriously can't figure out where you can and cannot drive. Safety first?
HUGS: A huge grateful hug to the very helpful young man at the laundromat in the plaza who cheerfully went above and beyond to help me.
HUGS: To the wonderful young lady in the Wholesale Club store on Thursday morning (June 26) who spent enough on her groceries to receive a free box of burgers and two bags of buns, and turned and offered them to me. Thank you. I will pay it forward soon.
