One reader is fed up with the cigarette butts around Nelson. (File photo)

HUGS: To the postal workers at the Nelson Post Office and Shoppers Drug Mart for providing service that went above and beyond! You are all amazing We are so lucky and grateful.

SLUGS: To the people who butt their cigarettes out and then throw them on the streets, sidewalks, and parking lots. Totally disgusting and it's called toxic littering.

HUGS: To the folks who helped my husband on two occasions, once at the mall parking lot when he tripped on the curb and then up at Mountain Station when he fell. You helped him up at the mall and those at Mountain Station called an ambulance. Thanks to the ER staff also.

SLUGS: Strolled down to our new and proudly presented pier and below on the public swimming pool walking deck were kids on motorized scooters using the wooden boardwalk as an opportunity to turn this marvel into a skate park. I'm not sure whether to give them full marks for ingenuity or a failing grade for jeopardizing themselves and the walking public's safety.
