HUGS AND SLUGS: Someone is stealing flowers off a grave

Why would you even do that?

HUGS: To the city crew who built the accessible ramp so that our mobility challenged veterans and other citizens can access the Cenotaph any time they wish.

SLUGS: To the business who was insulted because they felt I didn’t give a large enough tip. You are lucky you got one at all.

HUGS: For the most meaningful Remembrance Day ceremony. It was nice not to include the wreath laying from businesses. But SLUGS to some members of a local sports team. So important that you were part of the Remembrance Day parade, but lacking reverence when you tout coffee cups, have hands in pockets or chew gum. Can we have decorum for one hour?

SLUGS: A very big slug to the person who has stolen the flowers off of my Dad’s grave for the last three years. Buy your own. They don’t cost that much.

HUGS: To all the volunteers and workers at the Senior’s Fair on Oct. 28. Everyone was so helpful with very useful information and hand-outs to share. Thank you all so much.

HUGS: To the pilots who volunteer to fly in formation as part of the Remembrance Day ceremonies. For those of us who don’t make it into town for the ceremony, it helps us recognize the significance of the efforts by our military.
