I have a decent garden this year, but even so, it is such a pleasure to go to the weekly Farmers’ Market on Baker Street and partake of the beautiful and delicious vegetables offered by our local farmers.
I am so grateful to live near dedicated farmers who toil to produce local crops. And kudos to Nelson council and the EcoSociety for providing the venue for these sellers. If you’ve never been to the market, stop by on a Wednesday and I can almost guarantee you’ll be tempted to buy dinner-plate size lettuce or another of the many other produce items offered. Do yourself a favour this summer and stroll the market!
