LETTER: Animals are not unfeeling objects

Once again the belittling and demeaning term “destroy” is used for the killing of animals.

Re: “Aerial artistry mourns BC bears,” April 29

Once again the belittling and demeaning term “destroy” is used for the killing of animals. Animals are as much living creatures as we humans. When animals are killed for whatever reason people should be faced with the true impact of the fact and not read or hear they are destroyed as if they are unfeeling objects. Our world is faced with danger of extinction of more species than ever before and untold cruelty to animals, so let’s face it, we kill animals. They don’t die as unfeeling objects.
