LETTER: Bear more responsibility

From reader Chris Dawson

Re: “Conservation officer says farmers not doing enough after three grizzlies killed,” Nov. 8, Nelson Star.

It’s a sad state of affairs when a sow grizzly and two cubs are shot because of free-roaming chickens and imbecilic farmers. Then again, this is the Slocan Valley, where the same people so opposed to cell towers seem to have no problem with the extermination of alpha predators threatening their fowl.

It stinks, just like the hypocrisy of this tinfoil-hatted and sanctimonious crowd. Buck up and buy a subsidized electric fence, folks, or some of us just might start rooting for the bruins.
