Letter: Body cams not the answer

I don’t like Justin Trudeau’s plan to force all police to wear body cams, because I believe most police officers in this country are honest decent people who should not be forced to put themselves under such surveillance because of the actions of a few bad guys. If my employer decided to force such scrutiny on me I would definitely have been looking for a new job. Good cops are hard to find. We can’t afford to lose any.

If the politicians genuinely want to make us all safer from police, they should get rid of the longstanding and enforced “shoot to kill” policy. The end of that policy is long overdue.
