Re: Kaslo biologist questions logging at unique West Kootenay bat site, Jan. 21

I was reading in the Nelson Star regarding Dr. Cori Lausen’s concerns about plans for logging bat habitat in our area.

I must say I stand with Cori. She knows what she’s talking about. Why don’t you change your plans and ditch the extirpation of these creatures. Plans can change; bat habitat can’t. If you decide you must kill these animals in order not to disrupt your work load, will you then publicly announce your decision and your reasons for choosing fibre over fur? I believe we all should know when nonsense is one of the bases for your business model. On the other hand, you could modify your plans to accommodate for more values in the forest.
