LETTER: Don’t make young frontline workers cry

From reader Cherie Evans

A friendly reminder to all who shop at our grocery stores:

I get you’re frustrated, have issues with how our lives have played out lately. But do you really have to take it out on young people trying to do their jobs?

If you have a legitimate complaint, take it to a manager. Resist the urge to make a young person working a front line job cry. What’s really in for you? Do you leave the store feeling proud of yourself? Does your partner look up to you more and that floats your boat? Lording over everyone?

Well, let me tell you, you are not respected by anyone. You are a bully. Face it, accept it and do better next time.

We all could do a with less toxic attitudes when out and about.
