To protect our dogs, could we please limit the number of dogs for all the dog walking services and require licenses?
I have come across several of these services only to have 14 dogs swarm my lone dog and to be told “not to worry they are friendly” as my dog’s ear is bleeding from being ripped by another dog. Do we really think one person can manage 14 dogs when something goes wrong?
Last night was the last straw when I saw one woman with six dogs she could not manage as three of them were fighting with each other. She is yelling at them, and pulling on their leashes, only to then take them off leash to run at my dog, again, telling me they are friendly.
Are these dogs having fun? Are they under good care? This dog walker had no clue what she was doing. My husband and I had to manage the free-for-all as the dog walker was hundreds of yards away.
Dog owners, please be cautious about what service you are using. You are paying for a service and I’m not sure your pet is safe or enjoying their time.
