I want to thank the Nelson Star for the Aug. 26 online publishing of Bill Metcalfe’s article on Laird Creek water users’ concerns. All sides of any serious issue need public exposure and thought.
We received notice on Aug. 26 that the moratorium request was denied. I am wondering if any any of the professional oversight or ethical bodies have factored climate change projections with water retention and fire mitigation into their planning models, and have the professionals hired by Cooper Creek Cedar done so?
