Our MP Wayne Stetski just mailed a questionnaire to residents asking for input on five points. Our responses will inform him on how to hold the Liberal government to their promise to change our unfair electoral system. Of the 17.5 million votes cast last October, over half of these effectively didn’t matter. That’s because with our winner-takes-all system, an MP often gets selected even if a vast majority of constitutents voted for someone else.
“Our current electoral system is leaving about half of Canadian voters in the dark—which makes sense, since it was invented before the lightbulb”.
