Re: Marina at Nelson development faces lengthy provincial approval process, Aug. 21

Thanks to the Star for the update on process for the new 60-slip marina proposal by Culos Developments. I hope we can get involved and let the province know the last thing our waterfront needs is more development, structures and powerboats.

Nelson’s lakeshore is a precious community resource and we have to steward it wisely to let our city bloom with lake beauty. Instead of another boat parking lot, we need more parkland and access to natural lake shore. The shoreline should be the jewel we treasure in our city, not squandered as a development or industrial area as was done in the distant, and very recent, past.
