I had the opportunity to visit the Nelson Hydro Solar Garden project this past rainy overcast Sunday, with operating efficiency that day estimated at 15 percent.
With about sixty solar investors at the tour, there was a re-affirmation that we were indeed moving into the post-carbon economy.
This project is a recognition that we must move toward a new concept of what an economy can be. Although not a ‘money maker’ at this point, what it does bring is an early recognition that indeed, the times they are changing.
I am currently reading the biography of Gandhi, who is thought to have said: “You must be the change you want to see in the world.”
It seems to be happening globally — consider the change.
