Bill C–12, the Canadian Net-Zero Emissions Accountability Act, is regularly in the news along with recommendations that would make the bill more effective. Normally I would write my elected representative to express my concerns. Unfortunately I have tried that regarding other climate related questions and issues only to have no acknowledgement or reply from my representative. Putting out my concerns as a letter the editor, I am encouraging others to write in the hope they have a better response from their representative.

Some of the recommended changes include: not allowing fossil fuel executives, former or current, to sit on the advisory board. One that is of major concern that with just transition accountability the bill should be required to set and meet climate job creation targets. Your letters may have to be sent outside the Kootenay-Columbia riding to get any political notice, although with free postage to the House of Commons you could include your representative so that he is aware of whom he represents.
